The choice of colours, colour combinations and patterns is an integral part of our creative work. You will find the traditional charentaises with checks, but also other original and fancy models.

As you know, we pay particular attention to the quality of our products. This is done primarily through the choice of our reference materials: pilou des Vosges, organically grown cotton, Lyocell.

We also like to work with historic French workshops for the manufacture of a large part of our socks and slippers.

The manufacture of our charentaises is no exception. Since 1988, we have been working with one of the very last sock factories in France, which is also planning to obtain the EPV label (entreprise du patrimoine vivant).

Our charentaises are manufactured in Montbron in the Charente. Cutting, stitching, topstitching, edging, strobel, felt assembly, finishing and packaging.

Everything is done according to methods that are almost identical to those used more than a century ago when the charentaise was created.

The only particularity of our charentaises lies in the technique of assembling the felt, which is not the traditional "sew and turn" but the "welding", another traditional process used in the manufacture of footwear. However, we create traditional charentaises together: production in the Charente and a sole made of French wool felt.

For the Charentaises, we obviously pay homage to the traditions of these felt slippers from the Charente region. Our teams have tested many designs before adopting the best one, the one that allows you to move more or less quickly, without losing your slipper. In addition, the sole is non-slip, a detail that is very important.
